Here are OPEC College, we recognise that the best way we can improve our service is to ask our students for feedback.
During July 2022, some 30 members of our Alumni answered the call and completed an online survey which asked a series of questions about their experience with OPEC College.
The results are in and the news is …. well, it’s really good.
When we asked our students what they most liked most about OPEC College, some 23 per cent singled out our communication and an equal number indicated the approachability and helpfulness of the team. A further 20 per cent most liked our training team, and 16 per cent indicated flexibility was College’s most liked attribute.
On the question of why our students reached out to OPEC College initially, in addition to answering the obvious – to gain qualifications; other highly ranked responses included personal recommendations, accessibility and the option to use Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
“Your college was only one of a few colleges that offered my course. On researching all, I found that OPEC has the best delivery methods, your courses are up to date ie. not superseded as offered by one College, and you are up front. You encouraged the use of RPL and tried to find other ways in which to save money,” said JC.
The most common response for why students chose OPEC College was its overall cost and value, with good communication and ‘RPL made easy’ also featuring strongly in overall responses.
“Flexible, tailored methods for completing a qualification, friendly and responsive staff,” said AB.
To the question, what three words do you most associate with OPEC College, your most common answer was ‘professional’, followed closely by ‘service/support’, and ‘flexibility’.
When asked what they most liked/disliked about your OPEC College experience, some 40 per cent of reported they had nothing negative to convey; with communication featuring as the most highly rated feature.
“No dislikes to report! I really liked the entire handling of my enrolment, from commencement to completion. Everyone I interacted with were really lovely, David was a great trainer. Oh and to receive a printed certificate in a nice folder, in a proper unbendable envelope?! It might seem like a small thing but for me it was really nice to receive,” said CR.
On the flip side, identified areas for improvement include delivering course materials for students who complete a qualification via RPL, having the option to study in RPL only courses, and communication via more emails / less phone calls. The team at OPEC College are taking these suggestions on board and greatly value the feedback.
